Stefana

     Stefana or wedding crowns are an ancient tradition in the Greek Orthodox Church, rich in symbolism, with the crowning being one of the most moving moments in the wedding ceremony. The stefana represent the glory and honor given by God to the couple as they form their new family. The white ribbon, which joins the crowns represents the couple’s unity and the blessing of Christ as he establishes them the “King and Queen” of their household.
